World Tourism Day celebration held at Coimbatore

The Department of Tourism Management organized the World Tourism Day 2024 celebrations, themed "Tourism and Peace," on April 26, 2024. 
Dr. Bindu V.T., Head of the Department of Tourism Management, welcomed.
The program was officially inaugurated with a presidential address by Dr. V. Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor.  Following the presidential address, the inaugural speech was delivered by Dr. P. Santhi, Dean of the School of Commerce and Management.  
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sandhya Durga Prasad. Following the inauguration, the highlight of the World Tourism Day 2024 celebrations was the colloquium, themed "Viksit Bharat: A Tourism & Hospitality Roadmap," envisioning 100 years of India's independence by 2047 through the perspectives of Tourism and its allied sectors, including Hospitality, Aviation, and Restaurant Management.

Ltd., Coimbatore Mr. Abhilash Krishnan, Founder & Managing Director, Mirable Pvt. Ltd., and Neydhal the Coast & The UAE Restaurants, Coimbatore Mr. K. Arun Kumar, President, SKAL Club, Coimbatore& General Manager, Zone by The Park, Coimbatore.
The panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Bindu V.T., was an in-depth exploration of the current landscape of Indian tourism and its ambitious trajectory towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
