Due to ongoing construction work on the Avinashi Road flyover, traffic in Coimbatore has been diverted. The Office of the Commissioner of Police issued a press release detailing the new traffic arrangements to help mitigate congestion during this period.

For vehicles travelling from Anna Statue to Avinashi and Erode, the new route involves turning right at Lakshmi Mill junction, then turning left at Ramanathapuram junction, proceeding via Puliyakulam, and finally reaching Avinashi Road via Trichy Road.

For those already on Avinashi Road, there are a couple of alternative routes. One option is to take a left turn via Pioneer Mill, use the railway flyover to reach Gandhima Nagar, proceed via Thaneer Pandal S Bend to Tidel Park, and then reach Avinashi Road. Another alternative is to access Avinashi Road via Codissia or Kalapatti.

For motorists coming from Singanallur, the advised route is to take Kamarajar Road to reach Avinashi Road. From Singanallur Junction, vehicles can also proceed via Ondipudur and L&T Bypass Road to access Avinashi Road.

To avoid traffic jams in the Peelamedu and Hopes College areas on Avinashi Road, vehicle users are encouraged to use Sathy Road and Trichy Road for the next two weeks.

These diversions are intended to ease the flow of traffic while the flyover construction is completed. Motorists are advised to follow the new routes and use alternative roads to minimise delays.
