In a united effort, several institutions in Coimbatore collaborated to send relief materials to those affected by landslides in Wayanad. 
Coimbatore Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati flagged off the consignment. Dr. Vidhya Rajan, founder of the Virtual Rescue Force (VRF), stated, “Team members from various parts of the country made significant contributions. RAAC Raveendran coordinated the NGOs with the needs. 
The Federation of Coimbatore, numerous city apartments, SVHP Residents, Hirotec, ELCE, Doctors of CMC and Coimbatore, the 98 batch of CMC, Rathinam institutions, and MESSER all played a collective role for this consignment with the slogan 'Tamilnadu for Wayanad.'”
ELCE Chairman Dr. PS Rajan and C4TN Manian were present during the flag-off. MESSER Tools added 10 gas cutters to the consignment.
The relief materials included in the consignment are: 500 back home kits (essential kits), 250 steel plates, 250 steel tumblers, 46 pairs of boots, 50 kg of bleaching powder, 500 innerwears, and 1000 gloves. Each back home kit contains a towel, bedsheet, nightie/lungi, sanitary napkin (women's kit), and toiletries.
