In a significant achievement, Tamil Nadu has been ranked number one in employment generation for the financial year 2022-23, according to the latest industrial assessment report released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
With 15.66% of the nation's factories located within its borders, Tamil Nadu leads the pack, followed by Gujarat (12.25%) and Maharashtra (10.44%). Uttar Pradesh is at the fourth position with 7.54 per cent and Andhra Pradesh at fifth with 6.51 per cent.
The state also accounts for 15% of the total factory workforce in India, cementing its position as the industrial powerhouse of the country. Next to Tamil Nadu are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.
The fact that the central government has announced that Tamil Nadu has a large number of jobs is not only an achievement of the Tamil Nadu government, but also a great pride for the people of Tamil Nadu as a whole.
