Godman Nithyananda, once a popular spiritual figure claiming to be an incarnation of God, was exposed by his own disciples in sexual crimes. He now faces multiple fraud and sexual assault charges, with warrants issued, but remains at large. Despite modern technology and special police squads, his whereabouts remain unknown, raising public concern.
The Madurai branch of the High Court has echoed the question that the public had been posing as to why the police and government show no interest in trying to put Nithyananda behind bars, leaving their hands and swords idle—an enigma that remains unanswered.
There are 'Arrest Warrants' against him in several cases. High Court Judge Bharatasakkaravarthy has raised a reasonable question, "Is it appropriate for the government to protect his property?" This is a welcome & fair question.
It is the governments responsibility to find and arrest Nithyananda without further delay. A special force should be created for that. First, the government should take over all of Nityananda's assets in India and completely shut down his activities. Governments have all the power for that. The court is also showing the green flag.
All his assets should be confiscated immediately. Central and state governments should come forward to do that. Is it not a challenge to the rule of law to allow persons like Nithyananda to continue to operate?
