Tiruppur Collector T Christuraj and City Police Commissioner Lakshmi launched the Operation Zero Crime logo on October 2 at the collector's office. The initiative aims to create a crime-free society where children are protected from abuse, drugs, and cybercrime.
Speaking at the event, the Collector said, "The Chief Minister is working hard to make Tamil Nadu free of drugs. As part of this effort, we hold consultation meetings to stop the circulation of drugs in the district. We have introduced the Operation Zero Crime scheme to protect children from assault, drug abuse, and cybercrime. The program aims to prevent abuse, support victims, and raise awareness among students and parents. We also have counselling centres where children can get expert support."
Corporation Commissioner Pawankumar G Giriappanavar, Revenue Officer Karthikeyan, Assistant Commissioners Girish Ashok Yadav and Sujatha, District Chief Education Officer Udhayakumar, District Social Welfare Officer Ranjitha Devi, and District Child Protection Officer Riyas Ahmed Basha were present at the launch.
