Kathir College of Arts and Science, in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and the Coimbatore Productivity Council, organised a session on "Process of Innovation Development, Technology Readiness Level (TRL); Commercialisation of Lab Technologies & Tech-Transfer" on December 26, 2024.
The event, held at the college's Seminar Hall, featured Ravi Kumar, Secretary of the Coimbatore Productivity Council, as the chief guest. Kumar highlighted the significance of advancing Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and the commercialisation of lab-based technologies to bridge the gap between academic research and industry applications.
The session, convened under the leadership of Dr. P Saravanan, Head of the Department of Business Administration with Computer Applications, saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty. Dignitaries including ES Kathir, Founder and Chairman of Kathir Institutions, and Lavanya Kathir, Secretary, extended their support for the event.
Ravi Kumar's insights into the innovation ecosystem, from idea development to technology transfer, resonated well with the attendees. An interactive Q&A session provided clarity on aligning academic pursuits with industry practices.
