Celebrating International Women's Day in style, the Women Empowerment Cell of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, located in Nava India, Coimbatore, organised a vibrant event on Friday.

Under the leadership of Swaty Rohit, Chief Operating Officer of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, the ceremony kicked off with enthusiasm. Dr. BL Shivakumar, the Principal and Secretary, extended a warm welcome to the attendees. Dr. G Kavitha, President of the Women Empowerment Cell, presented the annual report, highlighting the achievements and initiatives of the organisation.

The Chief Guest, Pryati Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Coimbatore, graced the occasion. She released the Annual Magazine of the Women Empowerment Cell and delivered an inspiring address to the audience. Sharma emphasised the importance of self-belief and empowerment for women. She encouraged women to assert their independence, make their own decisions, and pursue their aspirations with confidence.

The event also featured the recognition of winners from various competitions held in honour of Women's Day, followed by captivating performances.

Dr. R Rekha, Secretary of the Women's Empowerment Cell, Dr. P Vidhya, Treasurer, Student President R Niranjana, Student Secretary Scarlet Stephen, along with professors and students, actively participated in the event, making it a resounding success.
