PSGR Krishnammal College hosts international conclave

PSGR Krishnammal College for Women hosted a Two-Day International Conclave on Antimicrobial Resistance sponsored by DBT-CTEP on March 4 and 5. Dr. P. Meena, Principal, and Dr. N. Yesodha Devi, Secretary, inaugurated the event. Experts from around the world convened to address the escalating global health crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Delegates from countries like the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, and Nigeria, spanning healthcare, pharmaceuticals, environment, and agriculture sectors, shared insights. 

Renowned scientists presented innovative studies on AMR treatments and diagnostics. Policy recommendations were formulated to address regulatory frameworks and public awareness. The conclave, in collaboration with several institutions, aimed to encourage collaboration and develop strategies to combat AMR. Student ambassadors from the Center of Excellence in Life Sciences have organised awareness campaigns, reaching over 7000 individuals in the past year.The conclave was organised in collaboration with PSG Institute of Medical Science and Research and many other institutions.
