Former Minister Thoppu ND Venkatachalam sought the support of voters for Tiruppur LS CPI candidate Subbarayan for getting Rs 97 cr to build 3 bridges and service roads in the NH 47 in Perundurai segment.
Campaigning for him in many villages in Chennimalai block on Sunday, he said that in the NH 47 in the Perundurai segment, many fatal accidents occurred regularly for the past 15 years due to lack of service roads, bridges and underpasses in spite of many pleas made by people including himself as MLA of the segment for the past 10 years.

Sitting MP Subbarayan tabled many call attention motion in the parliament and got sanction to build bridges at Chithodu, Kanchikoil and Thudupathi across the NH and lay service roads to link village roads with the NH. The works would be completed within a year and it would help people travel safely on the road. By this way, he fulfilled the long felt need of the people, he added.
