Minister reviews monsoon relief works at Ooty

Tourism Minister K. Ramachandran and Nilgiris MP A. Raja held a review meeting with government officials regarding the damage caused by the southwest monsoon and the recovery and relief measures being taken in the district.
In this meeting, District Monitoring Officer, Backward Class Welfare Commissioner, T.N. Venkatesh, District Collector Lakshmi Bhavya Thanneru and officials were present.  Tourism Minister said: Chief Minister has continuously monitored the effects of heavy rain in Nilgiri district and issued various orders. 
In this way, the damage caused due to the heavy rain and wind in the district for the past few days will continue to be investigated. 
The officers should immediately conduct a field survey and send a report to the government through the district collector regarding relief works.  When such natural disasters occur, the officers of all departments are ready and carry out rescue operations immediately without causing any disturbance to the public.Color should work.
