Minister of Information and Publicity MP Saminathan inspected various development projects in the Kangayam Panchayat Union on August 21. The projects, with a total cost of Rs. 3.96 crores, are aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public amenities in the region. During his visit, the minister reviewed the construction of a play arena in the Sivanmalai region, which is being developed at a cost of Rs. 3 crores.
Additionally, Minister Saminathan inaugurated the construction of roads connecting the Sivanmalai, Pothiyapalayam, and Balasamudram panchayat regions. These road projects are being carried out under the Chief Minister’s Village Roads Improvement Scheme and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
Tiruppur Collector T Christuraj, Dharapuram Revenue Officer Senthil Arasan, President of Panchayat Union Mahesh Kumar, Kangayam Tahsildar Mayilsami, District Sports Officer Raghukumar, and other government officers were also present during the inspections and inaugurations.
