The Nuclear Medicine department of KMCH has organized Society of Nuclear Medicine India (SNMI)'s 56th National Conference (SNMICON2024) from Dec 5 to 8.The event was held in Le Meridien hotel, Coimbatore.
SNMI ,Established in 1967, has been a driving force in promoting and advancing the field of Nuclear Medicine in the country.
SNMICON2024 conference theme, "Nuclear Medicine – Precise, Prognose, and Personalize," highlights the significant impact of Nuclear Medicine.
Indian College of Nuclear Medicine (ICNM) conducted Women in Nuclear medicine, first day session where only women speakers talked about women health issues like breast and cervix cancers. Dr. Thavamani Devi P,Vice chairman KMCH inaugurated the session and talked about challenges faced by women doctors and their health issues.
On the occasion of SNMICON2024 inauguration, Dr. Prabhu E, President, SNMI welcomed the faculties and delegates. Chief Guest Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman, KMCH highlighted the role played by the nuclear medicine department of KMCH in providing best care to patients and conferences like this would help the doctors to offer better treatment to patients.
Prof. Rudi Dierckx, President of European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) was the Guest of Honour and he highlighted the global partnership between SNMI and EANM. Dr. Kamaleshwaran KK (Organising Chairman), Dr. Ramkumar E (Organising Secretary) and Mr. Radhakrishnan ER (Co-secretary) and Nuclear Medicine team of KMCH organized this national level conference.
