GKNM Hospital, Coimbatore, recently organised an international workshop on "Advanced Concepts in Critical Care Nursing." The event, held in collaboration with the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, aimed to equip nursing professionals with cutting-edge knowledge and practices in critical care.
Dr. SM Chandramohan, CEO of GKNM Hospital, inaugurated the workshop, emphasising the importance of continuous education for healthcare professionals to meet evolving patient care standards.
Renowned critical care specialists from Illinois Institute of Technology, including Dr. Sonia Jain and Dr. Robert Marshall, conducted the sessions.
The workshop focused on advanced techniques, including the latest protocols in mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient safety measures. Over 100 critical care nurses from across Tamil Nadu participated, actively engaging in interactive sessions and hands-on training.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Sonia Jain highlighted the crucial role of skilled nurses in managing critical cases and highlighted the importance of adopting global best practices. Dr. Chandramohan commended the nursing staff for their dedication and encouraged them to continue learning to provide the best care for patients.
