A 100-bed inpatient unit was opened at Perundurai Kongu Naturopathy and Yoga Medical College and Hospital, functioning under The Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust, on Wednesday.
The college was functioning since 2020. More than 350 students were studying here. More than 120 outpatients were being treated daily for various ailments.
The President of the Trust, Dr. S Kumaraswamy, Secretary, P. Sathyamurthy, Treasurer, M. A. Ravishankar, Correspondent of the College, U. Venkatachalam, Administrators of the Trust, Ilango, Thangavel, Devaraja, Muthusamy, PC Palanisamy, Parameswari Lingamurthy, M. Karthikeyan, P. Sachithanandhan, College Principal Pratap Singh attended the function. A health canteen, a health snack bar and a hospital lift were also opened. The inpatient unit will function fully with all facilities from March 1.
