Commissioner of India chaired a comprehensive virtual conference on Wednesday with District
Election Officers and electoral authorities to discuss preparations for the forthcoming Parliamentary
Election-2024. Salem District Electoral Officer and District Collector Dr. R. Brinda Devi, joined a crucial
video-visual advisory meeting.

According to a press communication from the Salem District Administration, The meeting aimed to ensure seamless coordination and preparedness among electoral authorities to conduct free, fair, and transparent parliamentary elections. The Deputy Election Commissioner of India, outlined key strategies and protocols for the Parliamentary Elections.Discussions encompassed various aspects such as voter registration, polling station arrangements, security measures, and the implementation of electoral guidelines.

Additionally, officials emphasized the importance of leveraging technology and innovative approaches to enhance voter participation and facilitate a robust electoral framework.

Among the attendees were City Police Commissioner Ms. P. Vijayakumari, Additional Collector (Development) Dr. Alarmel Mangai, District Superintendent of Police Mr. A.K Arunkapilan, and District Revenue Officer Maru P. Menaka, along with other relevant high-ranking officers.
