The people of Coimbatore have shown their solidarity with the survivors of the devastating Wayanad landslides by sending relief materials worth Rs. 20 lakhs. 
Over 400 people lost their lives in these landslides, and thousands were left homeless.
In a compassionate gesture, residents of the 71st ward under the Coimbatore Corporation, particularly from RS Puram, contributed to the relief effort. 
Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran oversaw the dispatch of essential supplies, including food, clothes, notebooks, and blankets, to the affected areas in Wayanad. The event was marked by the participation of Corporation Mayor Ranganayake, Assistant Commissioner Sandhya, Councilors Akash Jayapal and Naveen Kumar, Assistant Engineer Kamalakannan, and the residents of RS Puram, all of whom came together to support the relief initiative.
