Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner visits hockey turf construction site

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabakaran visited the construction site at RS Puram Government Higher Secondary School complex, where a new hockey turf is being built following the orders of Chief Minister Stalin on June 11. The Chief Minister had announced this project, among other important schemes, during an event in Coimbatore in April. The hockey turf, estimated to cost Rs 10 crore, is part of these developmental initiatives.
During his visit, Commissioner Prabakaran instructed the officials to expedite the construction work to ensure timely completion. In addition to the hockey turf site, he inspected several other infrastructure development projects. These included the Brooke Bond Road Devangu Pettai region, Raja Street, and a vacant site near KG Theatre. The Commissioner also reviewed the progress of the construction of an Omni Bus stand at Gandhipuram, a project valued at Rs 2.90 crore.
Several government officials accompanied Commissioner Prabakaran during these inspections to ensure that all projects are progressing as planned and to address any issues that may arise.
