Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated a series of dispensaries in Tiruvannamalai district on August 20 via video conferencing from the Chief Secretariat in Chennai. The newly established veterinary clinics are located in Desur, Tellar, Kilnagar, Vembakkam, and Moranam village panchayats.


These facilities were constructed under the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) scheme, with each clinic in Desur, Tellar, and Kilnagar costing Rs 48.35 lakh, and those in Vembakkam and Moranam costing Rs 54 lakh each.


Following the virtual inauguration, District Collector D Bhaskar Pandian formally opened the veterinary clinic in Kilnagar village panchayat and inspected the facility. The event saw the participation of several key officials, including Arani Town Panchayat President AC Mani, Labour Skills Development Board Member SS Anbazhagan, and other government representatives.


The inauguration of these clinics is expected to significantly improve veterinary services in the region, providing better healthcare for livestock in these rural areas.
