FMCG major CavinKare and Ability Foundation have honoured five disabled achievers from across the country as part of their 22nd CavinKare Ability Awards 2024. The event, held in the city with dignitaries, showcased the exemplary achievements of disabled individuals from diverse fields. The grand award function was attended by dignitaries and featured a traditional Cheraw and Chheih Lam dance performed by students of Ephatha Special School for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired, Aizawl.
CavinKare Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. CK Ranganathan, congratulated the winners and thanked them for inspiring them to push themselves above and beyond. The recipients of this year's awards were carefully selected by a distinguished panel of Jury members, including Madhan Karky, KV Ramani, Bharat Bala, Suresh Raman, and Lata Murugan.
Ms. Jayshree Raveendran, Founder & Hon. Executive Director of Ability Foundation, praised the winners for their achievements and emphasized the importance of recognizing disability as a tool for capability. She expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and the challenge of sharing life experiences with disabled individuals to re-evaluate perceptions and attitudes, ultimately pave the way for a more inclusive society.
