Vaazhnthu Kattuvom project beneficiaries thank CM

Beneficiaries of Vazhnthu Kattuvom scheme in Tiruvannamalai district expressed their sincere gratitude to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

 The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, who is leading the Dravidian model of government as an example to other states in India, has been announcing and implementing numerous welfare schemes.

Realizing that education and economic progress are important to progress in life, he has been implementing countless programs for women in Tamil Nadu. As a result, the rural women's program is being implemented based on the objective to advance them economically. This is a World Bank funded project. It was launched with the objective of promoting rural enterprises and increasing the income of the rural people. The objective of the scheme is to create sustainable livelihoods and raise the quality of life beyond poverty alleviation of the people in the village by providing them with the necessary financial assistance and creating employment opportunities. 

Under this scheme, subsidized bank loan assistance is provided to those who want to start a business and eligible persons are given business loan ranging from Rs.one lakh to Rs.50 lakh. Business plans and other business related banking linkages for entrepreneurs to start new businesses and expand existing businesses through the scheme. Advice is provided to entrepreneurs who have established the business to promote it further. 

Under the project, an youth Gunasekaran, who has been trained as a new entrepreneur through community skills school training, Raja of Singaravadi Panchayat, Restaurant Industry Group, Sewarapoondi Panchayat, and people of the peanut industry group of Karikalampadi Panchayat got benefits under the scheme.
