Youth Welfare and Sports Minister Udayanidhi Stalin will attend various programs in Erode on August 2, according to Housing Minister Muthusamy. He said: On August 2, Udhayanidhi Stalin will inaugurate the indoor sports stadium built at a cost of Rs 8 crores in the government engineering college, Chithodu and the synthetic track constructed at Erode VOC Ground. He will provide various welfare benefits to the people in the government program at Platinum Mahal near Bavani, review implementation of government schemes in the district collector's office, inaugurate a new digital library in Municipal Colony where the Kalaignar's statue is located. Later, in the afternoon he will address the DMK youth wing at Mettukadai Thangam Mahal and hand over identity cards to members.
RO PLANT:
Housing Minister S Muthuswamy yesterday inaugurated the RO plant worth Rs 10 lakh on behalf of the alumni association of Erode Government Engineering College. Ex-students who studied in 1995-99 have donated the plant that can purify one thousand liters of Cauvery drinking water per hour. Through this, purified Cauvery water will be distributed throughout the college.
He said: The administrators of the private colleges will often come and will see the college activities. In the government colleged, only the people here have to work hard for the development of the college. Alumni of the college are now working in various jobs and are in high position. He asked them to help the development of the college.
