Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science (SRCAS) in Coimbatore organised a seminar titled "Build the Better World" for women students on September 25. The event, held on the college premises, was organised by the Women Empowerment Cell of the institution. Dr. BL Shivakumar, Principal & Secretary of SRCAS, delivered the welcome address. Swathy Rohit, Chief Operating Officer of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, presided over the event and honoured the chief guest, Dr. Tarita Shankar, with the Pioneer of Educational Excellence Award.


Dr. Tarita Shankar, the Founder Secretary & Chief Managing Trustee of Shree Chanakya Education Society, and Chairperson and Chief Mentor of Indira Group of Institutes, Pune, delivered an inspiring speech. She emphasised the strength and influence women hold, stating that women are central to the past, present, and future of the world. 


She highlighted the importance of education as the foundation of knowledge, which is essential for building a knowledgeable society. Dr. Tarita encouraged the students to self-motivate, take care of their health, and always prioritise their families, particularly their parents.


She also stressed the importance of women supporting each other and not hesitating to speak up when necessary. After her speech, Dr. Tarita engaged with the students by answering their questions.
The event was organised by the Women Empowerment Cell President, Dr. G Kavita, Secretary Dr. R Rekha, and other college administrators.
