PSGR Krishnammal College for Women and AMHSSC launch new centre

The Apparel Made-Ups Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC), New Delhi, has approved the establishment of a dedicated Centre for Fashion Design and Home Decoration at PSGR Krishnammal Women's College in the Peelamedu area of Coimbatore. The inauguration of the New centre of Excellence was officiated by Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Sakthivel, Chairman of AMHSSC.
During the event, Dr. Sakthivel highlighted the significant role played by women in skill development training centres across the country, particularly noting the high contribution of women in Tirupur district's banian export business. 
Tiwari emphasised the importance for students to effectively utilise the newly established skill training centre on the college campus. He also mentioned India's rapid progress in digital skills development among developing nations.
In conclusion, Dr Yashoda Devi, the college's secretary, delivered a vote of thanks. The newly launched centre is expected to help students acquire valuable skills and facilitate new product development through student and industry projects. said, N.Nandhini Chairperson of the college.
