Farmers associations, Thadapalli Arakankottai and Bhavani River Irrigation Farmers Association President Subi Thalapathy submitted a a petition to the Gobi RDO Kannappan on Monday, pleading to plant trees on the roadsides on the Chithodu-Gobi highway in place of thousands of trees cut down for the four-lane road expansion works.
