Nilgiris Collector Lakshmi Bhavya Thanneru paid her final respects to Arjunan, a 62-year-old resident of the Ooty Nanjanadu region, whose family chose to donate his organs following his brain death. Arjunan's kidneys were donated to Erode Abhirami Hospital, while his liver was provided to FIMS Kurichi. The noble gesture of Arjunan's family has been acknowledged by the district administration and medical community. District Superintendent of Police NS Nisha, officials from the Ooty Government Medical College and Hospital, including Geethanjali, Additional Superintendent of Police Soundararajan, Superintendent Balasubramaniam, Ooty Revenue Officer Maharaj, and Ooty Tahsildar Saravanakumar, were also present to honor Arjunan and support his family during this solemn occasion.
