Nilgiris collector holds inter-district coordination meeting

The Nilgiris Electoral Officer and District Collector, M Aruna, along with the Malappuram Electoral Officer and District Collector, Vinoth, participated in an inter-district coordination meeting on Monday to discuss various activities concerning the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border in anticipation of the Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting focused on several key topics, including: Tightening security and enhancing monitoring at border check posts before the Lok Sabha elections. Controlling terrorist activities perpetrated by Maoists and left-wing extremists. Monitoring the movement of cash, liquor, drugs, and freebies across the border. Addressing the issue of man-animal conflict in the region.
To facilitate effective coordination between the two districts, it was decided to establish a WhatsApp channel where officials from both districts can communicate and coordinate efficiently. The meeting saw the participation of numerous government officers from various departments.
