The people of Erode Surampatti Thiru V Ka Nagar lane have put up election boycott notice banners demanding closure of the liquor shop. As a result, there has been a flutter in the area. This Tasmac shop is causing great inconvenience to the public. So we applied several times to close it. So the people of the area said that they are engaging in election boycott protest as no action has been taken. ANOTHER BOYCOTT: A poll boycott notice board has been put up on behalf of the people of suburban Kathirambatti. In Kathirampatti area near Erode, a notice board has been put up on behalf of the public that they are going to boycott the Lok Sabha polls. In board said ''the ground water level is affected by the effluents let out by an edible oil plant operating in Moolakarai area, and since last year 2011, petitions have been filed demanding to close the plant permanently.  But  no action has been taken so far. So, people have decided to boycott the Lok Sabha election, seeking permanent closure of the plant. Black flags are also strung on this notice board. Due to this, there is excitement in the area.
