Members of the DMK in Tamil Nadu held protests across the state today, condemning the actions of Governor RN Ravi in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on December 6.
In Coimbatore, the Unified Coimbatore District DMK Organisation led a demonstration in the Tatabad area, with over 300 participants, including Coimbatore District DMK Secretary N Karthik, DMK Property Protection Committee member Pongalur Palanisamy, along with various DMK executives and volunteers. The protestors raised slogans condemning Governor RN Ravi, the BJP, and the AIADMK.
Speaking at the protest, N Karthik accused the Governor of violating the traditions of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. He also criticised him for disrespecting the Tamilthai Vazhthu and claimed that the Governor had put several resolutions brought by the Tamil Nadu government on hold. Karthik emphasised that the slogan "Governor, go back" is being echoed across Tamil Nadu.
Pongalur Palanisamy, in his address, stated that the Governor is disregarding the opposition and sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu. He further criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for appointing the Governor and claimed that Modi has been a silent spectator to the Governor's actions.
