District Health Assembly meeting held

The 2nd District Health Assembly meeting was held  in Tirupur District Collector's office in the presence of District Collector T Christuraj, Mayor N.Dinesh Kumar, and Municipal Commissioner Pawa

The 2nd District Health Assembly meeting was held  in Tirupur District Collector's office in the presence of District Collector T Christuraj, Mayor N.Dinesh Kumar, and Municipal Commissioner Pawankumar G.Kiriappanavar.
District Collector said: 122 demands were mooted in the first health assembly  meeting. They are mostly infrastructural related requests. Medical equipment has been requested for some of the hospitals. 224 requests have been sent for consideration at the state level. Most of the 224 requests are related to constructions. The value of these is around Rs.5.00 crore. 75 percent of the work has been started. 
 In the second meeting of the District Health Board,  Tamil Nadu health plan and public health infrastructure facilities and the plans to be implemented are discussed. Medical department officers and employees, all departmental officers, local council members and people's representatives participated in this meeting and various demands were 
made.
153 decisions will be sent to the State Health Council, he added.
Following this, he presented certificates of appreciation to the Medical Officers of Bhumalur Primary Health Centre, which won the first place at the state level and Vellakovil Improved Primary Health Centre, Kaniyur Additional Primary Health Centre, Panayerichal Urban Primary Health Centre, which won the first place at the state level based on the performance of the Government Primary Health Centres. 
In this meeting, Deputy Mayor Mr. Ra. Balasubramaniam, Assistant Collector (Training) Ms. Kirthika S. Vijayan, Government Medical College Hospital Principal Mr. Murugesan, Associate Director (Medical Works) Mr. Kanagarani, Deputy Director (Health Works) Mr. Jagatheeskumar, Municipal Health Officer Mr. Gauri Saravanan, representatives of local bodies, doctors and other relevant officers 
attended.
