Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) successfully hosted a one day CME on Cardiac Critical Care and ECMO on Sept 29 at KMCH.  
The program focused on the latest advancements and best practices in managing critically ill cardiac patients, with special emphasis on ECMO, a lifesaving intervention for patients with severe cardiac and respiratory failure. 
Dr. Pranay Oza, President ESOI (ECMO society of India) delivered the keynote address sharing insights on evolution of ECMO and discussed on ECMO in resource limited settings. The eminent dignitaries who participated in this conference include Dr. Ram E. Rajagopalan, former President ISCCM and HOD, Department of Critical Care Medicine, Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. Dr. Pradeep Rangappa, HOD, Department of Critical Care Medicine, Manipal Hospitals, Bangalore and Dr. Suresh Rao ,  Co - Director, Heart & Lung Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support, MGM Health Care, Chennai. 
KMCH Chairman Dr Nalla G Palaniswami has emphasized the importance of healthy heart and maintaining its health be a top priority for all of us to build a healthier heart safe future. 
Executive Director Dr. Arun N Palaniswami said, that KMCH has become one of the leading centers in South India to offer such complex treatment facility to patients. The hospital has reached Western standards by treating more than 150 ECMO cases with three machines during the past four years.
He also congratulated Dr. T. Gopinathan, HOD, Department of Critical Care Medicine and his team for their efforts in conducting the conference and making it a grand success.
