Annamalai University, which had been working with the objective of
Neighborhood Empowerment through Science and Technology (NEST) in the
last five years, has expanded to Tribal Empowerment through Science
and Technology (TEST) for the next five years.
As a part of the project, equipment worth Rs. 3 lakh is provided to 4 government tribal schools and 2 Hostels in Pachamalai Hills Tiruchirappalli district with the financial help of India Seattle Group, USA.
Prof. Dr. RM. Kathireasn, Vice-Chancellor of the University, handed over the orders to the Project Officer, Tribal Welfare Department, Pachamalaii. More than 1000 hill students studying in these schools will benefit from this scheme.

IQAC, Annamalai University, Dr. S Rameshkumar and the Project
Coordinator K. Jayaprakash, Assistant Professor, Department of
Computer and Information Science, were present on the occasion. The
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. RM. Kathiresan
thanked the President of India Team Seattle, USA, Mr. Devaraj Muthukumarasamy for the continuing support.
