Supporting a resolution passed by the ruling DMK government in the assembly on June 28, Tamil Nadu Vetry Kazhagam President Actor Vijay argued that NEET is against state rights and that education should be tailored to each state. He suggested a special general list for education and health, with state government rights.
These align with the DMK’s position on the issue. Few days back Chief Minister M.K.Stalin brought a separate resolution in the recently concluded assembly session regarding the irregularities in the NEET examination and that the central government should give exemption to the NEET examination.
Also, yesterday (July 3) DMK organized a demonstration against the NEET exam at various places across the state.
Moreover, the idea that state rights should be restored, education should be removed from the general list and it should be included in the state list has been a continuous demand of the DMK and its supporting parties.
In such an environment, it is noteworthy that Tamil Nadu Vetry Kazhagam President Vijay has spoken on the platform to fully support DMK's stand on the NEET issue.
Vijay's subsequent political moves will be known soon!
