A camp was organised at the Tiruvannamalai Indian Bank Zonal Office, led by District Collector D Bhaskara Pandian, to provide educational loans to students and business loans to differently-abled individuals. The initiative, supported by Indian Bank, aimed to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder educational pursuits or entrepreneurial aspirations.

The District Collector emphasised the transformative power of education, stating that it can positively impact not just one generation but several to come. He highlighted the importance of the Education Loan Assistance Scheme, which ensures that lack of wealth does not prevent students from pursuing their education. He also advised the recipients to repay their loans diligently, as it would enable future generations to benefit from similar opportunities.

During the camp, Kurupriya, a student pursuing a B.Sc in Agriculture, shared her gratitude towards the District Collector. She mentioned how the education loan assistance helped her continue her studies without burdening her family financially. She expressed her commitment to repaying the loan and encouraged fellow students to do the same.

The event saw the distribution of educational loans worth Rs 2.60 crore to 53 students, and business loan orders totaling Rs 15 lakhs were issued to differently-abled individuals. The event was attended by Indian Bank Regional Manager Arunpandian, District Pioneer Bank Manager Gowri, and other bank officials and beneficiaries.
