All states deserve R-Day parade spot to showcase unity in diversity

Only floats from 15 state governments, namely Bihar, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Diu-Daman, Goa, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Haryana, out of a total of 36 states (including Union Territories), have been allowed to participate in the Republic Day Parade in 2025.
Tamil Nadu is not among the states that have been given permission for the parade. With this, Tamil Nadu's float has been denied permission to participate in the Republic Day parade. The float of the Delhi state government, where the ceremony will be held, also did not get a place in the Republic Day parade. This is not the first time that the Delhi government float has been denied permission. Similarly, the Tamil Nadu government float was denied permission in the past. This has created controversy.
It is argued that state floats will get a chance only on a rotational basis. So why has the Delhi government float been rejected for the 4th consecutive year? How is that possible when the floats of BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat states are being held every year?
India is a union of all states. The essence of Republic Day is that it reflects the spirit of all states.
Therefore, at least from 2026 onwards, floats from all states should be included in the Delhi Republic Day parade. That will set an example of the unity of the Indian nation. There will be no more controversies.
