Sengunthar Foundation distributes Rs 86.60 lakh education aid at Erode

Erode  Sengunthar Foundation distributed Rs 86.60 lakh education aid at a function held at Erode on Sunday.
The foundation secretary K Kalaiselvan, president S Masilamani and treasurer A Angamuthu distributed Rs 86.60 lakh educational assistance to 1200 students for 3rd year in succession. In 2023, it distributed Rs 61.78 lakh to 587 and in 2022 Rs 30.70 lakh to 347 students. 
Kalaiselvan wished the aid should touch Rs 1 cr next year and the members of the foundation touch 500 mark. Many poor families of the community need the aid so that philanthropists should donate liberally to the trust which use the donations only for giving the aid. Even office and other expenditures of it was shared by its members only. 
The trust wanted to expand the aid distribution for all deserving students of the community all over the state, he added. Foundation functionaries KK Balusamy, Sivanandham, Rajamanickam, Andavar Ramasamy, Dr Vijayakumar and many spoke.
