Tiruvannamalai Collector inaugurated Chief Minister’s football Cup match

Tiruvannamalai District Collector D Bhaskara Pandian inaugurated the Chief Minister's Cup football match on September 10, 2024, at the indoor sports hall located within the District Collector's complex. The event was held in the presence of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker K Pichandi and other dignitaries.
The sports competitions for the Chief Minister's Cup are scheduled to take place in Tiruvannamalai district from September 10 to September 24. These competitions include participation from school and college students, government officials, differently-abled individuals, and the general public, making it an inclusive event for all.
The football matches for school students kicked off the competition, with 720 students taking part in the event. District Collector Bhaskara Pandian took time to congratulate the young athletes, posing for group photos and encouraging them to showcase their best efforts in the spirit of sportsmanship. Additionally, lunch was provided to all the students participating in the games, ensuring their well-being throughout the day.
Several key officials were present at the event, including District Revenue Officer Ra Ram Pradeepan, Cheyyar Sub Collector Pallavi Verma, Zonal Senior Manager Noylin John, and District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer Shanmugapriya, along with other government departmental officers. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion, underlining the importance of youth participation in sports.
