The Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science in Coimbatore recently played host to an intercollegiate student symposium titled "Cyber Nexus 2k24" on March 16. Organised jointly by the Department of Computer Science with Data Analytics and the Department of Cyber Security, the event aimed to provide a platform for students to delve into the latest trends and technologies in the field.
Dr. BL Shivakumar, Principal & Secretary of the college, presided over the function, while Andrew Vijay Lawrence, Team Lead TAG at Hexware Technologies, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Lawrence delivered a speech highlighting the significance of staying level with the evolving landscape of cybersecurity and data analytics.
During the event, outstanding students in both curricular and sports activities were recognised and appreciated for their achievements. Additionally, several publications, including Datalytics Connect and Cyber Insights, were unveiled, along with the release of the daily news magazine Iformatica and the logo for the peer-to-peer seminar series "Coherent Learning."
Participation was healthy, with approximately 200 students from Coimbatore district taking part in various technical events and emerging as winners in their respective categories.
