Royal Care Super Specialty Hospital commemorated World Head Injury Awareness Day by launching Two Wheeler Ambulances (First Responder Medical Service) aimed at providing immediate first aid assistance during medical emergencies.

The inauguration ceremony of these ambulances was graced by Dr. K Madeswaran, Chairman of Royal Care Super Specialty Hospital and Managing Trustee of Uyirin Suvasam Trust. The event was attended by esteemed Chief Guests including G Manuneethi, Divisional Engineer, Highways (Road Safety), Coimbatore; Dr. R SreeRamalingam, IMA Secretary, Coimbatore; and BH Rajesh, Project Head, Chengapalli - Neelambur, Section of NH 544.

Dr. Madeswaran emphasised the significant number of head injuries resulting from road traffic accidents, often attributed to factors such as distracted driving, non-compliance with traffic regulations, and failure to wear helmets. As part of the hospital's ongoing efforts to raise awareness, the launch of the Two Wheeler Ambulance is a pioneering initiative aimed at providing prompt medical assistance.

The "Platinum Hour Service" offered by the ambulances plays a crucial role in saving lives during medical emergencies. Equipped with essential medical facilities and staffed by trained personnel, the Two Wheeler Ambulances are designed to navigate swiftly through narrow lanes and reach the site of the incident promptly. If necessary, victims can be transported to the hospital via ambulance.

To avail of these services, individuals can contact 91434 91434 or 0422- 2227444. The Two Wheeler Ambulances are stationed at Royal Care Super Specialty Hospital in Neelambur and Nanjappa Road, Gandhipuram.

Dr. Madeswaran also stressed the importance of adhering to traffic rules to prevent accidents, especially considering the growing population and increased traffic congestion.

To further raise awareness, a World Head Injury Day Awareness Walkathon was organised, which commenced at Race Course and concluded at Royal Care City Unit via Avinashi highways. The event witnessed participation from over 400 eminent doctors, staff members, and members of the general public.
