Villagers have requested to Collector to help pay for the treatment of an injured person who fell down during painting work.

Tamilvanan (31) of Karatupalayam, Perode near Erode, lives with mother Sampuranam (62) and younger brother Tamilarasan (29). Tamilarasan was not married. He is doing painting work.

In this case, Tamilarasan's family members and villagers, led by VCK leader Siruthai Valluvan, filed a petition in the District Collector's Office on Thursday. The petition states:

Tamilarasan was doing painting work in a house on 3rd road, VIP Nagar, Erode Lakkapuram on May 8th when the sunshade wire snapped and fell down. From there he was admitted to Erode Government Hospital. The owner of the house informed that Tamilarasan should be admitted to a private hospital and that he would bear the expenses. According to this, he was admitted to a private hospital and was treated at a cost of Rs. 4.86 lakhs. The hospital administration says that after paying the amount, he can be taken to home.

We could not take him home as we had no money and the owner of the house refused to pay. Therefore, they pleaded to the district administration to help them by bearing his medical expenses.
