TN government all department pensioners association decided to hold a state wide demonstration on August 6 to press the government to set right the anomalies in the government health insurance scheme. The association state executive meeting held at Madurai under the chairmanship of its president NL Sridharan said the insurance company took enormous time to consider the complaints of the pensioners and there was no tracking system to know the status of the petition sent by them. There was a vast difference between the claims and the amount sanctioned by the company after getting treatment in the hospitals. The norm of cashless treatment under the scheme didn't exist. So, the association decided to hold a state wide stir on August 6, said Erode district secretary V Panneerselvam.
