Nilgiris Collector inspects house construction project

Nilgiris District Collector Lakshmi Bhavya Thanneru inspected the construction of houses under the Kalaignar Kannavu Illam scheme in the Kundha region on September 18. The houses are being built with a budget of ₹3.50 lakhs each. During the inspection, the Collector mentioned that several developmental projects, including drinking water, electricity, roads, housing, and sanitation, are being implemented across the Nilgiris district.
Under the Kalaignar Kannavu Illam scheme, 1,134 beneficiaries have been approved, with government orders issued for 1,129 beneficiaries. The house construction is in various stages of completion. Ooty Revenue Officer Maharaj, Kundha Tahsildar Kalaiselvi, and other officials were present during the inspection.
