Tiruppur Collector T Chrishturaj flagged off an awareness rally to mark the 67th International Day of the Hearing Impaired and Indian Sign Language Day on behalf of the Differently abled Persons Welfare Department.
He said, Sign Language Day is an annual event that promotes the linguistic and cultural diversity of hearing impaired communities around the world. The event is an opportunity to create awareness among the public in this regard. 110 persons participated in the event.
District Revenue Officer Mr. K. Karthikeyan, District Diffabled Welfare Officer Mr. Vasant Ramkumar, and Secretary of the Hearing Impaired Association Mr. Ramesh, participated.
