FATIA's bandh call gets good response at Erode

One day bandh call given by federation of all trade and industry associations of Erode district (FATIA) for trade and industry evoked good response in Erode district,  said the federation president VK Rajamanikkam. 
He said the stir call was given to protest against the Centre's decision to impose 18 percent GST on rent paid for buildings used by traders and industries from Nov 1 and state government's action of hiking property, garbage, water taxes and power tariff steeply. 
In Erode district, 50000 traders and over 2 lakh workers joined the stir.
