The Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute of Tamil Nadu (EDII - TN) and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmedabad will jointly offer a one-year postgraduate diploma program in entrepreneurship and innovation starting from July 1.
Applications for the program are open to students who have completed at least Class VIII or Class X. Interested candidates can apply online at www.skilltraining.tn.gov.in until June 7, or offline at the Government Industrial Training Institute for Women in Coimbatore. For offline applications, women candidates can contact the institute directly or use the provided phone numbers.
The program, to be conducted in Chennai, will have a fee of ₹1 lakh for the duration of one year. Applicants should have completed an undergraduate program and be under the age of 30. The total capacity for the program is 500 seats per year, with 40 seats reserved for candidates from Coimbatore district. Both EDII - TN and EDI will share teaching responsibilities, including practical sessions.
Selection of candidates will be based on a written test and interview, as explained by C Uma Shankar, director of EDII - TN, during a press conference in Coimbatore. Application details are also available on www.editn.in.
