District Collector Mr. S. Karmegam, took a comprehensive review of the Salem District Co-operative Milk Producers Union (Aavin production centre), inspecting various key areas and ongoing expansion works.
The highlight of the visit was the inspection of the construction site for a new plant, expected to hold a milk capacity of 7 lakh liters and geared to produce 30 tons of milk powder daily. This significant expansion promises to bolster Salem Aavin’s production capabilities substantially.
Moving through the premises, the District Collector reviewed the milk packet production area, along with the butter and ghee production zones. Additionally, attention was devoted to the ice cream manufacturing section, where discussions revolved around daily production and sales figures.
Encouraging the continuation of this service-oriented approach, the collector directed the officers to maintain their high standards.Accompanying Mr. Karmegam during the inspection were District Revenue Officer / General Manager Mr. P. Kumareswaran, Deputy General Managers, and other relevant officers, underscoring the significance of the visit and the attention given to the union's operations.
