Coimbatore Commissioner goes on a 78-km cycle rally to raise awareness about drug trafficking

Coimbatore Police Commissioner Balakrishnan undertook a 78 km cycle rally to prevent drug and child sex crimes and to celebrate the 78th Independence Day.

Due to the increase in drug circulation among youth and students in Tamil Nadu, awareness campaigns are being organised. Commissioner Balakrishnan led a 78 km bicycle rally to create awareness about drugs and sexual crimes against minors.

The cycle rally, which began at the Police Commissioner's office, saw participation from individuals above 16 years of age. The route covered Town Hall, Chetty Road, Perur, Pachapalayam, Alandara, Madhampatti, Chadivayal, Isha Yoga Centre, and finally ended at the PRS ground on Avinashi Road.

Participants of the cycle rally took an oath after finishing the event, committing to the fight against drug and child sex crimes.
