Tiruvannamalai Collector's instructions to visit vote counting centres

Thiruvannamalai District Election Officer and  Collector D. Bhaskara Pandian held consultation with officials and representatives of political parties on counting of votes registered in the 2 LS seats Thiruvannamalai and Arani at the collectorate on Saturday.
He told mediapersons '' only persons with photo identity cards issued by Election Commission will be allowed inside the counting centers.After each round of counting, the details of the election will be communicated to the media room immediately after the official announcement of the election. Electronic devices such as iPads are not allowed inside the polling booths. Only those who have a photo ID card issued by the Election Commission can use handheld camera without stand in the counting booths as permitted by the Returning Officer. However, photographing and video recording of vote details recorded in Control Unit and VVPAT is not allowed.
