Tiruvannamalai Collector inspects security arrangement at the govt hospital

A consultation meeting was held on August 21 at the Tiruvannamalai District Collector's office, chaired by District Collector D Bhaskara Pandian, to discuss security arrangements and the installation of surveillance cameras in Tiruvannamalai Government Medical College Hospital, government hospitals, and primary health centres. The meeting also focused on enhancing safety measures for doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.
Following the meeting, District Collector Bhaskara Pandian, along with the District Superintendent of Police and the Principal of the Medical College, conducted an on-site inspection at the Tiruvannamalai Government Medical College Hospital. 
They reviewed the areas where surveillance cameras should be installed and examined other security enhancements.
During a press conference after the inspection, District Collector Bhaskara Pandian stated that, as per the orders of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the consultation was held to ensure the safety of healthcare professionals. A committee has been formed to recommend locations for surveillance cameras and other security improvements. Based on the committee's recommendations, security facilities will be upgraded.
Plans include constructing a perimeter wall at the hospital through the Public Works Department, installing surveillance cameras around parking areas and the hospital premises, and appointing personnel for continuous monitoring. 
The District Superintendent of Police Dr. K Prabhakar, the Principal of the Government Medical College Hospital, and other government officials participated in the 
inspection.
