Tiruvannamalai Collector inspects projects in Vettavalam Municipality

Tiruvannamalai District Collector D Bhaskara Pandian, along with the Director of Municipalities Kirankurala, conducted an inspection of various ongoing projects in Vettavalam Municipality yesterday.
The inspection focused on the solid waste management initiatives under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The team reviewed the process of waste segregation and composting at the Resource Recovery Park, where sanitation workers sort the collected waste. The officials also examined the bio-mining efforts aimed at reclaiming old garbage.
Additionally, the Collector inspected the construction of a new well under the Amruth 2.0 project, which aims to address the drinking water needs of the local population. The Collector urged department officials to expedite the work and ensure timely completion.
The inspection was attended by Assistant Director of Municipalities K Gnanasundaram, Vellore Regional Assistant Executive Engineers C Amsa and C Senguttuvan, along with other government officers.
